Environmental Design
Clinique first developed a system of skin cases in 1968. Clinique tried to put all the effects that were needed for skin by using mild stimulation ingredients. They are making cosmetics with the knowledge that came from their strict testing system lasting over 50 years. They believe 'The great skin can be created' Therefore their main principle is not to use paraben and synthetic scents in their products.
The main purpose of space is to stimulate customers' curiosities and desires with interior design not with products. Approaching a space as a 3D billboard that shows brand identity, therefore using Clinique's signature bottle image as a main object for organizing space. Space design for commercial areas is the most effective way to show brand image because it could affect customers in many different ways. Usually, cosmetic store design is focused on how to show their products to the customers, but this space is not for showing products, it is for showing the brand. Therefore, minimizing products and furniture for items, and putting relaxing area instead of it.

This space is also designed for the time after store closed because Gangnam district which is a site of the store is crowded until the midnight. This design would give opportunities to enjoy spatial art for people who walk in front of this show window.
Concept
Fill by emptying + LAB
Concept motif of relaxing area is Clinique’s signature bottle, therefore it could advertise product without putting actual products. Also, customers might feel the mood of brand and get skin clinic in the relaxing area.
